My Tattoo85 viewsI decided to upgrade to a tattoo since my brand has faded. It's my snake signature design except for the Sankofa symbol. It's an Adinkra symbol that means "go back and get it" and implies that love always finds its way home. The artist was Ami who works in Hadar in Haifa, Israel.Kthulah

First Marks131 viewsThese were my first concensually applied permanent marks. They are symbolic of my ethnic heritage and birth date. I'm of unknown but suspected Togonese descent and definitely partly Catawba (Iswa) descent.
The Iswa didn't have a written language aside of numbers, but when a promise, vow, or contract was made, a person drew their snake signature someplace where it would remind one to keep their word. One's word is extremely important in our culture, and if you say you will do, you do.
I have a mirror image signature because I live in two worlds.
