Shaniqua had her house warming party Friday. It was a very interesting night.
Kahuna’s angry with me because I didn’t let him come with us, but it wasn’t a good idea since he can’t really be objective around Shaniqua. He’ll thank me for it when I tell him how it went. It was definitely a couples’ party, and even Longstroke left not too long after he arrived. He was tired and not really that into dealing with the women he had history with, tiptoeing around his feelings while reinforcing their rejection at the same time.
Skull came to see me Friday night, so the wolfpack got to meet him in person. Longstroke thinks he’s a bit pushy, but I think that’s just projection. I don’t think anyone told Jeane that Skull is a little mentally challenged, so she was in a bit of shock. She was pretty annoyed by him, but he thought she was lovely. He complimented her five times before she told him that it makes her uncomfortable. She asked me why I didn’t have a problem with it, and I told her it’s because I agree that she is hot, and I’m not a monogamist unless I have to be. Besides, we’re still in the trial period before we decide if we actually want to be boyfriend/girlfriend, so we haven’t really negotiated about level of freedom yet.
That’s just the secondary reason though. The main reason, which I didn’t tell her is because Skull heard that Alex laughed at her about her haircut. Skull is the type of guys who can’t really let something like that go unanswered, and wanted her to know that she’s really cute with the short hair. He prefers a natural beauty, and she’s got alot of it.
Later, I had to explain to Skull about women’s discomfort with receiving compliments. Apparently nobody had explained this to him before. He said he felt kind of silly, but I told him that this is something that most guys don’t know, so he shouldn’t feel bad. Some women who seem confident, aren’t very confident. Plus, if you compliment their looks too much, it makes them think that’s all you’re concerned about. She doesn’t know that if Alex had called her stupid, Skull probably would have complimented her whenever she said something particularly clever. Heheheh…
It was a fun party though, and I came out of it a few rice krispies treats richer.
…and for the second time, someone, I won’t say who, asked me why I would date someone [mentally challenged] like Skull, and told me that I “deserve so much better”. My answer again was, “Better than what?” Except for Papa2, the more verifiably intelligent guys have treated me in a very stupid way. So they’re not as smart as their IQ scores say.
For all their supposedly superior intelligence, they couldn’t understand that I’m a human being with feelings, and that if they want to keep my attention, they should remember that. These “smart” guys have neglected me, tried to use me, taken me for granted, and care way too much about the wrong thing: ethnicity. Skull on the other hand, is cultured, a gentleman, brave, and kind. He may have to work harder at the academic level, but he’s smarter than Allball and Feng Shui combined in the romantic department.
I won’t go into the other ways in too much detail. Suffice to say, we are taking things slow, but the previews so far cause me to look forward to the full feature experience with great antici—pation.
